About impact!

Impact! on education

Impact! is a digital tool, developed by the University of Twente, which allows students to provide feedback to their teacher at the end of a lesson (on their smartphone, iPad or tablet). The teacher immediately sees what the strengths of his/her lesson are and where improvement still is possible.

Impact! is easy to use. Within a few minutes, you answered the questionnaire.

The questions students answer about a lesson are based on scientifically determined features of effective lessons.

Impact! can be used on students’ smartphone and tablet. No more paper questionnaires.

Score overview

If you have used impact! several times in your lessons, then impact! shows the trend in your scores over a period of time.

Results immediately available

The results are available on your own phone or computer (completely confidential) immediately after the lesson. When students start filling out the questionnaire, they mention the grade they usually have for the subject taught in the lesson. This allows you to differentiate between how low-, middle-, and high-performing students evaluate your lesson.

Impact! is easy to use. As a teacher, you can easily select one of the impact! questionnaires for the lesson you would like to receive feedback on. You can also add questions, or create your own questionnaire.

Research on impact!

A team of the University of Twente studies the effects of impact! on, among other things, teacher reflection, teaching quality and student  engagement.
